1. Who we are
NetsHub (thenetshub.com) is an independent, fan-operated website. For purposes of data-protection law, the operator of NetsHubis the “controller” of personal data processed through the Site. You can reach us at legal@thenetshub.com.
2. The short version
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information for money. We do use analytics cookies and may use advertising cookies, and under some U.S. state laws that cookie-based advertising can count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — which you can opt out of. You can control all non-essential cookies through our consent banner (reopen it any time via “Manage cookies” in the footer), your browser settings, or a Global Privacy Control signal.
3. Information we collect
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our analytics and hosting providers may collect standard log and usage data, such as your IP address (often truncated/anonymized), device and browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, and the dates and times of access. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
Information you provide. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message).
We do not currently operate user accounts and do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies — needed for the Site to function and to remember your cookie choices. These do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to help us understand aggregate, anonymized usage so we can improve the Site.
- Advertising cookies — if and when advertising is enabled, third-party ad partners may set cookies to measure and (where permitted) personalize ads.
We implement Google Consent Mode: non-essential (analytics and advertising) storage is set to “denied” by default until you grant consent via our banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or adjusting your browser settings.
5. How we use information
- to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- to understand aggregate usage and performance;
- to display and measure advertising (where enabled);
- to respond to your inquiries; and
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
6. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for all analytics and advertising cookies and the processing they involve. We do not set these until you opt in, and you may withdraw consent at any time (see below); withdrawal is as easy as giving it.
- Legitimate interests — only for strictly necessary operation and security of the Site (for example, essential server logs to prevent abuse), balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
To withdraw consent, click “Manage cookies”in the footer to reopen the banner and choose “Decline,” or clear cookies in your browser.
7. Third-party services we use
We share data with service providers only as needed to run the Site:
- Google Analytics(Google LLC) — usage analytics. See Google’s privacy policy and opt-out browser add-on.
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery, which processes standard server logs.
- Advertising and affiliate partners — where enabled, to serve ads and track referrals. These partners act as independent controllers under their own policies.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising cookie activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain U.S. state laws; you can opt out via our consent banner.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Data retention
We retain analytics and log data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to address your request.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email legal@thenetshub.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. California: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of third-party advertising cookies (when advertising is enabled) may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws. You can opt out in any of these ways:
- click “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” or “Manage cookies”in the footer and choose “Decline”;
- enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser — we treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing and keep advertising storage disabled automatically; or
- email legal@thenetshub.com.
Because we do not require accounts, we honor these opt-outs at the browser level rather than by identity.
12. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for it, we treat your choices in our consent banner and your cookie settings as your preference. We do, however, recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC)signal and honor it as an opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information: when GPC is detected, advertising cookies stay disabled.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version; material changes will be reflected here.
